At the end of 2012 a good friend, Mark Dempster came to me with an idea to cycle across the US. I was hooked and with the enthusiastic support of my wife decided to go for it. I was, and still am a casual cyclist so was really happy going out and cycling 30 miles in the sun. We will have lots of sun in the US, possibly too much in Death Valley!
Training started before Christmas and has gone on ever since - one 65 mile ride in February in the pouring rain and at around freezing sticks in my mind!
I have chosen to support a wonderful charity - Harrison's Fund, details of which you can read by clicking here.
Please dig deep and donate what you can. This is a self-financed trip so all donations go straight to the charity.
